Texas PTA continually strives to provide effective and efficient service and support to our PTA leaders and members. The Texas PTA Bylaws Committee has completed a review of the proposed bylaws amendment submission and approval process for Local PTAs and now implements the following changes:

The submission of minutes is no longer required. With their signatures on the newly revised Bylaws Submission form, the Local PTA president and secretary now affirm that proper procedures were followed.

The Bylaws Made Easy Checklist may be submitted in place of the entire bylaws document. The Bylaws Made Easy Checklist was modified for easier completion.

Standing rules must be submitted in Microsoft Word format so that the Bylaws Committee member may make any necessary corrections quickly.

If your PTA is currently engaged in the amendment process, your PTA may continue with that process or utilize the revised process. Please contact any member of the Bylaws Committee or the Member Services Department if you have questions.
